Functions and characteristics of fencee energy DUO ED energizers

Extreme power

Energizers of this series have a very strong output up to 15 J. They are suitable for places where you need to ensure maximum reliability.

LCD Display

The large, easy to read graphic LCD display shows all important information. Thanks to the adjustable contrast of the display, it is easy to read from a distance even in direct sunlight.

Combined operation

Power supply is possible from a 230 V using an adapter or from a conventional 12 V battery, also usable as a backup supply.

Reduced output

Yellow terminal for reduced output. You can use the reduced output for a smaller fence or for connection to the lowest wire. In the case of vegetation growth, only reduced performance will be affected and there will be no significant loss of tension on the fence.

LED Bargraph

Visually gives information about the state of the fence.

Setting buttons

Thanks to the setting buttons, control of the device is simple and fast. This makes it easy to move between screens, set and control important values.

Basic specifications of fencee energy DUO ED energizers

Range of powerful combined energizers fencee energy DUO ED. They are suitable for long fences burdened with vegetation, where it is necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability. Due to output power up to 15 J, they can provide sufficient voltage even in very grassy fences. 

Energizers are suitable for all types of animals. We recommend it for horses, cattle, sheep, goats and as protection against game. Thanks to the yellow terminal for reduced output power, they are also suitable for young such as calves and foals.

General characteristics:

  • Combined energizers with connection to 230 V, or power supply from standard battery 12 V
  • Battery power is suitable in places without electricity or as a backup source.
  • Power from 8 -15 J.
  • Designed for fences with an installation length of up to 120 km.
  • Energizers have microprocessor-controlled operation with the possibility of switching the output energy to 50% / 100%. 
  • On the large LCD display you have clear information about important values on the fence.
  • Using the setting buttons, you can easily set and check all the necessary parameters.
  • An integrated microprocessor controls the entire operation and ensures optimal energizer performance.

At the output of the energizer is a black earthing terminal, a red terminal for attachment of fences, a yellow terminal for connecting fence with permanently reduced energy. Learn how to use the yellow terminal with half power in our how-to guide.

fencee energy DUO ED energizers with an output higher than 5 J comply with the special requirements prescribed by the standard.

This is a time delay in power increasing which ensures safety. The product must be marked with the symbol (hourglass). The energizers have a time delay of 50 seconds.

  • This means that when the fence is loaded and resistance drops below 500 ohms (overgrown grass,fallen branch,...), energizer will supply a maximum of 5 J, for a period of 50s. If the fence resistance does not increase during this time (elimination of the cause), energizer will gradually increase the output energy (e.g. energy DUO ED 150 up to 15 J).

Another function is the warning when the fence is suddenly loaded.

  • With a step drop in the fence resistance during one pulse from more than 1000 ohms to less than 400 ohms (fallen branch, tangled animal or human, ...) alarm is triggered after six pulses - acoustic signal sounds and red LED flashes. At the same time, the pulse period is slowed down to 3 s. Alarm is switched off after increasing the fence resistance to more than 600 ohms or after a period of 10 minutes. Both functions are independent and separate.

  1. Possibility of connection separately to the bottom wire, where vegetation is expected to grow. If overgrowth starts, it will only affect the reduced output and there will be no loss of voltage on the fence.
  2. Output can be used also for a second smaller fence for smaller and younger animals.
